‘The One Show’ 11th May 2010
The One Show on BBC1
Great news! I was filmed last week to appear on BBC1′s ‘The One Show’ on Tuesday 11th May at 7pm. They are doing a feature on the 100th anniversary of Arthur Edward Waite’s book ‘The Pictorial Key to the Tarot’.
I will be talking about the Rider Waite deck and a little about the history of AE Waite. The feature will only be four minutes long so I am not sure how long how many seconds I will appear for, but do tune in!

We say cheerio to Joanna Watters . . . .
Well what a whirlwind time we’ve had recently! The first couple of weeks of March we had one of our visiting guest Tarot experts - Joanna Watters visiting The Academy of Tarot to run two weekend workshops on how to be a better tarot card reader.
Joanna is a well known name in the world of Tarot and as she lives in Greece, it was wonderful to tempt her over. The workshops went down a storm: all levels of Tarot readers attended from beginners to expert and all learnt something new.
Joanna herself is the subject of a double-page spread in ‘Chat It’s fate’ magazine; April issue. She has quite an amazin
g story having emigrated to Greece from the UK (in Shirely Valentine style) fifteen years ago! Jo now lives in a beautiful house on a Greek island and she runs her Tarot summer school from her terrace! We hope to welcome Jo back later on in the year.
Meanwhile The Academy also had a press evening on 10th March when several journalists arrived for Tarot readings and free food! We’re looking forward to seeing a bit more publicity for the Academy in the future!
